The EcoMarines and students at ICB took part in Brisbane City Councils’ Active School Travel Program. This program is all about finding other ways to get to school rather than driving a car. You can carpool, walk, scooter or bike! Driving is a big energy consumer so active travel is a better and healthier way to go!
The EcoMarines of Brisbane Bayside State College developed an inter-school competition that encouraged students participating to commute to-and-from school using eco-friendly options instead of car-travel.
Through this project, the EcoMarines highlighted the importance of active travel and conserving energy!
